LOS ANGELES -- Tiny blonde adult star Cara Lott, a long-time Orange
County resident, has died after a long battle with a debilitating disease.

The 5-foot-4 star, who at her prime had weighed about 105 pounds, had
shrunk to just 85 pounds in her last days. She was 56 years old.

"She was just like a nothing of a person in those final days", "Frank
the Rat" a friend of hers told AVN.

"I would text her but she wouldn't text back, ask her if everything was
okay and didn't hear back, and then this morning when I got to work, her
sister used her phone to text me to let me know that she passed."

What time-frame constitutes the "golden age" of "adult movies"? From what year to what year?

I understand that "golden ages" are generally never recognized while the actual golden age is going on. When, within the golden age's aftermath, did someone actually realize that it wasn't the golden age anymore?

IMHO, I imagine the rise of the early 1980s AIDS crisis had something to do with the demise of the "golden age"?

My wild guess is that it had to do with the transition from film to
videotape.

There was nothing "golden" about it. That term means "old".

I think "golden" was another word for "hairy."

Another meaning is "just right."

And the online Urban Dictionary doesn't mention this, but I'm pretty sure that one slang meaning of the word is "18 years old." As in "golden groupie."

IMDb says she died on March 19, 2018.

It also gives her a credit in Brian De Palma's 1984 movie Body Double as "Girl #2 in Bathroom (as Pamela Weston)"

At least she died knowing no one had any respect for her. My fondest memory of her is her tonguing a young girl's asshole. Great life!
