KIBBLE _ Perry Lee Kibble passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 1999
at the age of 49 years. Perry was born June 10, 1949, in Watts,
California to Ike and Clara Belle Kibble. Perry began his life as a
musician at the tender age of sixteen, playing sax, drums and bass
guitar, in addition to writing, and arranging music for various named
acts across the United States. As the bandleader of the group "A Taste
of Honey", Perry managed to harvest the perfect combination of
musicians, resulting in Platinum and Gold album sales, further
resulting in a Grammy Award winning song, Boogie Oogie Oogie, written
by Perry and Janice M. Johnson, close friend and confidant. Perry left
the U.S.A. in 1991 to continue his musical career in Calgary, Alberta,
Canada, where he assembled and dedicated himself to developing a new
group with a new sound (Clear Image). Clear Image became one of
Calgary's top dance and show bands. In December of 1998 Perry and the
band completed their first CD, entitled Perfectly Clear, along with a
music video. Perry was well-known all over Calgary. Two months after
the CD was completed, Perry developed a most sufferable illness. His
sister and close friend, Pamela Crawford were by his side when he
departed this life on Tuesday, February 23, 1999.
