Heard from some fansites that Sharon Tate's father Paul Tate passed away,
but I haven't seen anything in the media to confirm.

I always thought that the mother's story was one of the saddest I had ever
heard regarding the "American Judicial System". Every time Charles Manson
came up for parole, this woman went to the parole board and relived what
had happened to her daughter, Sharon Tate, in order to block Manson's
parole attempts. Whether or not it was necessary, I don't know, but she
believed it was. How horrible is that? When she died, Sharon Tate's sister
talkde about the heartache her mother had suffered over it and how she,
the sister, would take her mother's place in the effort. No victim, or
family thereof, should have to endure a lifetime of that.

While Richard Speck was still alive, the surviving relatives of the

Speck was sentenced to death in May 1967, and was resentenced to
consecutive life terms of more than 400 years after the death penalty
was ruled unconstitutional.) An advocate for Speck was quoted after
one hearing as saying that it would be easier to spring Speck when the
nurses' relatives finally started dying off. Fortunately, Speck died
in custody on 5 December 1991.

Wikipedia says that Paul Tate died on May 19, 2005. Don't know how far
to trust the site, however. Surprised that it wasn't posted here if he
passed.

I was nearly shocked when I saw the videotape years ago of Speck
and his newly acquired tits, and, all of the mayhem within prison
he and his 'cell-ies' were able to conduct/enjoy. Upon a quick
search via Google I discovered the following webpage regarding
the video - http://www.mayhem.net/Crime/speck.html

The content on the bottom of the webpage is rather interesting
regarding ownership of the video by Investigative Reports and/or
Bill Kurtis.
