Adult Film Stars Afflicted With AIDS?

industry is in a panic right. Despite it's claims that the sex is safe
and actors are screened, there is an apparent epidemic of "HIV positive"
in the industry. Perhaps a bit of hyperbole, but who are the stars that
are afflicted today? Thanks.

Don't know who there is today, but you've got me wondering about past adult
film stars who've died of AIDS. Of course, everybody knows about John Holmes,
but it also claimed Lisa de Leeuw (died November '93). Does anyone else know
any others?

Well, the most interesting credit for her is "Dixie Ray, Hollywood Star," which
is notable for being one of the few X-rated films with an established actor in
the cast. It was kind of a porno film noir about a private eye who takes on a
case for a glamorous and promiscuous movie star (Lisa de Leeuw in the title
role), and the police lieutenant was played by Cameron Mitchell! (Fortunately
for us all, Cameron did not participate in any of the "action.") This movie
was also edited down to an R-rated version called "It's Called Murder,
Baby"--which you might even be able to find at Blockbuster!

I have seen this film. It's not half bad, and could actually pass for a real
movie if you're not really paying attention. Lisa looks fabulous throughout
the whole thing. It's a shame, really.
