No, I don't. She hasn't been part of WPIX's anniversary reunions
during the past couple of decades, though. Her sponsor for the weather
segments was Arnold Bakers, the company that once tried to see loaves
of bread named for Carl Yastremski ("Yaz Bread") in New York City. A
search shows that there's a Gloria Okon who's involved in volunteer
work at St. Anthony's Hospital in Warwick, NY. There's a chance it
could be she.
I think Gloria's two cohorts, Kevin Kennedy (national news) and John
Tillman (local) are dead. Tillman was sponsored by Con Edison and
would stand in front of a large photograph of the Con Edison building
as he read the news from a typed script. The set must have been all of
four feet wide.
BTW, Pixanne is still around. Jane Norman (her real name) is a lovely
woman. She now devotes full time to her singing career.

I don't think so. Carol "Have a Happy" Reed did a five-minute "Rain or
Shine" report on WCBS-TV until the network ceded its local-news
operation in 1963. The weather was then folded into the main news
broadcast. (Oldtime NYC people might remember Robert Trout anchoring
the local news on Channel 2. That was when the network did the news
for WCBS, its flagship station. After the handover, Jim Jensen became
the anchor, and remained so until the 1980s.) Carol Reed died too
young about thirty years ago.
