Leonard Belzer, the brother of actor Richard Belzer, jumped to his death from his posh Manhattan apartment building Wednesday morning, said a rep for the TV star.
Belzer's body was found at 6:45 a.m. in the courtyard of 250 W. 94th St. after a friend went to check on him, sources said.
Visibly shaken building workers said they believe Belzer -- who lived on the 11th floor -- jumped from the roof of the 16-story high-rise.
Police sources confirmed they were investigating the tragic incident as a suicide, adding that "notes" were left behind.
Neighbors said Belzer, the former host of the radio program, "The Comedy Hour," went into a tailspin following the 2012 death of his wife -- Emmy Award-winning "Sesame Street" director Emily Squires.

"After his wife died he was never quite the same," said neighbor Terry Caza, a producer and actor. "He never quite recovered."
Caza described the 73-year-old Belzer as "a great, interesting man."
"He was always out consuming culture in the city," he added. "We'll miss, Len. It's a shame."
In addition to missing his wife, Belzer was suffering from a heart condition, building workers said.
"I had to put him on a bus to the hospital a couple of times," one said.

A representative for Richard Belzer, 69, said he was not commenting.
"It is with deep sadness that news reports of the passing of Richard Belzer's brother, Len, have been confirmed," said the spokeswoman. "Richard is in seclusion at his home in France and cannot be reached for comment at this time."
The Belzer family has been rocked by suicide before.
Leonard and Richard's salesman dad, Charles, reportedly killed himself in 1968.
The suicide came a year after an earlier attempt that was thwarted when Richard walked into his father's office and found him passed out from a drug overdose, according to a 1993 People magazine article.
Even before their father's death, the Belzer brothers endured a traumatic childhood growing up in Bridgeport, Conn.
Their mother, Frances, beat them relentlessly.
"Our mother didn't know how to love her sons appropriately," Leonard told People. "She always had some rationale for hitting us."
A Columbia University graduate, Leonard Belzer was a veteran of the Air Force Intelligence Service and an author. He and his wife wrote a book together in 2000 titled "Spiritual Places In and Around New York City."
"He was a perfect gentleman," one neighbor said.
