Is this the woman that Garfield was married to when he was having sex with
another woman and died?

This is the woman Garfield was married to, but separated from, at the time
of his death. There is no evidence whatsoever beyond speculation that
Garfield died during a sexual relationship with another woman. I didn't go
into any detail in my book JOHN GARFIELD: HIS LIFE AND FILMS because it
wasn't that sort of book. But Robert Nott's recent full-scale biography HE
RAN ALL THE WAY draws as clear a picture of Garfield's demise as can be had.

I'm curious if the woman that Garfield was
with when he passed is still alive?

Of course, he was found in the apartment of another woman who was not his wife
and who he was widely reported to be having an affair with.

If he wasn't having sex, that's just too bad.

Yeah, dying would have been a lot better if he'd been having sex at the
time. Me, I like sex, but I'd rather go while sleeping.

No, Iris Whitney died a few years ago.

I had a significant other who, when younger, put a boyfriend in the ground
while they were doing the nasty. She didn't like to talk about the
circumstances but I did ask her once if he looked happy. She told me that, no,
he looked scared.

As for my demise, I have visions of being about 104 and getting surprised by a
future SO as I'm schtooping a younger gal. [1] Result: instant coronary. And
instant legend, at least in my neighborhood.

[1] At 104 just about any gal is younger.
