Actor Hurd Hatfield, most famous for being Dorian Gray in "The Picture of
Dorian Gray", has died at age 80 in Ireland. He also made some guest
appearances on "Murder She Wrote" and others. Loved that movie, and also was
a fan of his. He will be missed. Deano

In 1978 I met a man with that name on his badge at a locksmith convention
in New Orleans...I was skeptical of his claim to be the actor...was the
locksmith an impostor or did the actor take a new trade?

The 1998 ACS celebrity address list for autograph collectors lists this
address for him:
Ballinterry House
Rathcomac
County Cork
Ireland

I know that doesn't help with the locksmith question but it does give some
info into whereabouts recently.

I had no idea he had been on TV shows as recently as the 80s. He was a
fine actor and I'm sorry to hear of his passing.
