Sorry to report the death of John Vidaver who passed away this morning (May 7, 2018), after a long illness, at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ. He was 70. John had a long run on local radio in our area. I first remember hearing him on WCBS-FM in the late sixties. He also worked for WNEW-FM, WTFM, WPAT A/F, (92.3) WKTU, WNCN, WQXR, WQCD, WHLI, WBAB, WHDH, and more. His versatility is evident by the call-letters. Not many announcers could do classical, EZ listening, and rock in the same life-time. He will be missed by many. A reception occurs tomorrow (May 8, 2018) at the Volk-Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack RD in Oradell, NJ between 4-8 P.M. John’s wife, Joanne, would appreciate seeing many of John’s radio friends.
