Indraprasth, Aug. 29 (PTI) - Prime Minister Atal Behari
Vajpayee today condoled the death of renowned newsreader
of All India Radio Devki Nandan Pandey.
In his message, Vajpayee said: "For a very long period,
Pandey's forceful voice was synonymous with Hindi news on
Akashwani. He occupies a very high place in the pantheon
of legendary newscasters in the history of AIR."
"In his death, the broadcasting community has lost an
inspiring figure," the Prime Minister said.
