Minnesota Supreme Court rules unanimously for Al Franken
The Minnesota Supreme Court unanimously upheld the three-judge panel in the
Norm Coleman-Al Franken U.S. Senate election contest. More later, but the
justices ruled 5-0 in Franken's favor. The justices said Franken received the
most votes and "is entitled" to an election certificate but didn't order Gov.
Tim Pawlenty to sign it immediately..,.

Great. That long national nightmere should be over...
No. Way. I figured he'd take it to the US Supreme Court, and even higher if
he had to.

Hey, let's just settle all our races that way!
They could have settled this months ago if that moronic Coleman had
accepted, oh, I don't... the State Canvassing Board decision or the District
Court decision. But no. The guy who said right after the election before the
official results were in that if he were Franken, he would step aside if he
were behind. Of course, this was before the advance ballots or contested
ballots had been looked at or counted.
Hypocritically, (and predictably), he chose to drag this out wayyyyyy longer
than if the tables had been turned.
I wonder if he is going to have to get a real job now to pay Franken the
court ordered $94,000 + that this debacle cost him. Or if the GOP will
cover Franken's half of the court costs too.

His constituents, because of the Coleman's and the GOP's petulance, have been
unrepresented in Congress for nearly six months now...they should refund out of
their own pocket half this year's taxes to everyone living in that District,
under the "no taxation without representation" principle....r

A pessimist sees the glass as half empty.
An optometrist asks whether you see the glass
more full like this?...or like this?

Can I take that deal after Franken's been in office six months?
P.S. U.S. Senators don't have "Districts."
