A few years ago, Lynne Frederick, a former actress and the wife of Peter
Sellers at the time of his death, passed away at the young age of 39. Her
obituary stated that she died of "natural causes," but never gave any more
specific information. Does anyone know her exact cause of death?

Roger Lewis, in his THE LIFE AND DEATH OF PETER SELLERS, reports that
Frederick "choked on spaghetti and meatballs and ended up as cadaver no.
94-3840 in the Beverly Hills police department morgue."

I have only skimmed Lewis's book, but it looks like few biographers can have
taken a less celebratory attitude toward their subjects. He half-seriously
asks whether his book caused Ferderick's death because "I'd written what she
knew to be the truth; and how could she bear the truth?"--that truth being
that Sellers was "evil"--his word, not one I use lightly--and comments that "I
have yet to find anyone with a good word to say about Lynne." Certainly not
himself, so perhaps the cause-of-death quote needs to be taken with a grain of
salt.
