Cactus Tom Brooks, a longtime Louisville television personality, died
Sunday, December 14, at the age of 87. Cactus was an icon to Louisville
baby boomers as the cohost, with Randy Atcher, of the children's program
T-Bar-V, broadcast on WHAS-TV from 1950 to 1971. Cactus also performed
with Randy on a music program, Hayloft Hoedown, during the same era.

Among Cactus' survivors is his brother, comedian Foster Brooks.

Cactus was older by two years. Foster is now 85, as his birthdate is
May 11, 1912. I hear Foster is not in good health, but I have no
confirmation of that.
