Count Demetrio Guerrini-Maraldi, died at his home in Southampton, New
York, 26 November, 2002, aged 76.

He was born at Florence, Italy, 15 September, 1926, the son of
Ambassador Agostino and Countess Kathryn Guerrini-Maraldi, and was
educated at the Noble College of Mondragone, Frascati; the University
of Bologna; & graduated from Harvard [1950].

Career: reinsurance broker with Lloyd's of London; Chairman of Vance
Management, a family investment company in New York, &c.

The Count was a member of the London club White's, Brook in New York,
and the Circolo della Caccia in Rome.

The Times death notice says Guerrini-Maraldi was an accomplished
sportsman, favouring shooting, skiing & yachting; a student of
history, & a linguist.

He is survived by his wife, Countess Antoinette Sickles
Guerrini-Maraldi, of New York, his sons, Alessandro and Filippo, of
London, & his daughter Vanessa Wilcox, of New York.

The funeral is to take place at Cesena, Italy, followed by Memorial
Services in London and New York.

The Count's daughter-in-law, wife of Count Alessandro, is the former
Catrina Skepper, London socialite and mannequin, and one-time escort
of the Duke of York.
