Mark Sorensen
Mark Sorensen, 48, son of state Rep. Ken Sorensen, died this week in
Baptist Hospital.
Born Oct. 25, 1955, Mark Sorensen was the former owner of The Shopper
Supermarket in Key Largo. An internationally known sailor, he also
founded the Upper Keys Sailing Club.
He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Sorensen; son, Eric Sorensen;
father, Ken Sorensen; mother, Kay Sorensen, all of Key Largo.
A funeral will be held 12:30pm Saturday, July 10th at St. Justin
Martyr Catholic Church. A 10:30am viewing will precede. A celebration
of life will follow at the Upper Keys Sailing Club in Key Largo.
Bob Wichman
Bob Wichman, 76, of Islamorada died Thursday, July 1st.
He was a jeweler, inventor, and a trainer of jumping horses. He also
groomed dogs for 15 years.
Whichman is survived by his wife, Gale, to who he was married for 37
years; brother, Don Whichman, daughter; Denise Erikson, and sons; Ken
and Marl Whichman.
