I've been listening to the CD "Let There Be Peace on Earth" by Vince Gill
and there's a real sad song about his brother Bob not being around for
Christmas. The CD is dedicated to Bob, also. Anyone know the circumstances
of his death and his age when he died?

Vince Gill began writing "Go Rest High on That Mountain" after the 1989
death of his friend Keith Whitley. He finished it several years later
when his older brother Bob, brain damaged in an auto accident when Vince
was thirteen, died.

Although he might have suffered brain damage in a car accident, Bob died of a
Heart Attack. I believe he was 39.

Who died with an incredibly high blood alcohol. I believe it was above
.40. Nowadays .08-10 is the level for drunk driving.
