Katherine Thalberg, daughter of producer Irving Thalberg and actress
Norma Shearer, died of cancer Jan. 6 in Aspen, Colo. She was 70.
Thalberg was a longtime bookstore owner in Aspen and in 1989 let a
movement to prohibit the sale of fur in the town.
She was previously married to the ski champion Jack Reddish and the
film and television actor Richard Anderson. She is survived by her
husband, Bill Stirling, and three children.
A memorial celebration will be held Jan. 21 at 3 p.m. at Paepke
Auditorium in Aspen.
Donations be made to the People for Ethical Treatment of Animals.

She must have been about 2 years old when her father died.
