The married couple who were found dead in a Belmont home Sunday have been identified.
Pueblo County Coroner Brian Cotter identified the man and the woman as Kenneth Ramos, 48, and Lisa Ramos, 47.
Sgt. Ken Espinoza of the Pueblo Police Department said it’s suspected that Kenneth Ramos shot his wife then shot himself inside the home, which is located in a northern Belmont neighborhood east of Jerry Murphy Road.
The two were found in the home by a family member about 3 p.m. Sunday.
Kenneth Ramos was well-known in the Pueblo baseball community. He had a lengthy minor league career and also played briefly in the majors.
The circumstances that led up to the incident are unclear, but a neighbor of the couple told The Pueblo Chieftain on Sunday that just shortly after 3 p.m., she heard a woman screaming.
The neighbor also said she was frightened by an incident involving the couple that occurred recently.

How often does the wife 'accidentally' shoot the husband? Rare. At least Mr. Ramos didn't blame it on gun cleaning misadventure.
