I didn't know that Harry died. WHen did he die and what did he die from?
Thanks, Al
And in the same vein:
>> Danny Gatton, musician, 49.
I didn't know that Danny died. When did he die and what did he die from?
This comes as a surprise to me, as Danny was a friend of my dad's (And, I
believe, dated my mom before she married my dad) ... Of course, I always
get him and Tommy Hannum [sp?] (plays for Ricky Van Shelton) confused
(Both, I think, were friends of my dad's (and jammed with him) back in
196[mumble].)

Danny Gatton committed suicide in the fall of last year. I feel it was a
great loss as I believe he was one of the best guitar players around. I
never got to see him but I loved to listen when given the chance. It's too
damn bad.

Frank actually passed away in December of '93, and composer/guitarist
is a *much* better way of describing him!

I agree that they are both well-known now as a result of all the hoop-la
surrounding their deaths but, realistically, neither of these folks had
attained the notoriety required to make the "Big" list.
It is not my intention to trivialize their deaths in any way. I was
only trying to put the "big" list in proper context.
