For awhile in the early '80's, it looked like John Savage was going to
be a big star, but it never quite happened. Still, he did one of my
favorite movies, "Inside Moves" (1980).

And he did a TV movie opposite Liane Langland in 1987.

Her daughter, Robin Youngs, is better known as Robin Young, who has been on
Boston radio and television in some capacity or another since the mid-'70s.
She was the original host of "Evening Magazine" (syndicated show known in
some markets as "PM Magazine") on WBZ-TV, was a DJ on WBZ-AM and WBOS-FM
about 25 years apart, and now co-hosts the midday news/features program
"Here & Now" on WBUR radio; the show is heard nationally on satellite radio.
She also was a correspondent on the ill-fated "USA Today on Television"
syndicated show in the '80s.

Another daughter, Gail Youngs, who retained the final "s" on her surname,
had a brief movie career and was married for a time to Robert Duvall.

I could be wrong, but Toppie Smellie's commercials were for ""Shake &
Bake".
