Travelites' Toga Party event report & upcoming

shrimp. The volleyball net was up, the horseshoe stakes were in the
ground, the top toss game was placed, and the hot tub was a perfect
temperature. Togas definitely were optional for the day.
Members arrived from all points from the upstate to the Low Country.
Dinner was great with grilled sirloin burgers with an assortment of
melted cheeses and for dessert was a premium ice cream.
It was difficult to say good night but there will be other times to
gather and have fun.
Allen and Cheri are off to AANR convention at Oaklake Trails. On
August 15th, there will be a reunion of original Travelites members
and some current ones in Wellston, Oklahoma where we'll have a potluck
supper.
Mark your calendars:
August 29th will see Travelites return to Williston, SC for a potluck
lunch and pool party.
September 12th is our annual fish fry & Patriots' party with calendar
confirmation - the auction concludes at this event.
September 26th is a potluck lunch.
October 10th is Oktoberfest celebration in Greenville
October 17 - Founder's Day celebration in Hopkins & a Mexican
restaurant in southeast Columbia
October 31 - Halloween fun with pumpkin carving and costumes
November 14 - Thanksgiving feast including a deep fried turkey
November 21 - Lobster Bash and oyster roast in Ridgeway
December 5 - Winter Holiday Party
December 26 - Last hot tub party of 2009.
December 31 - possible *New Years Party

Folk usually bring snacks to share. Reservations are appreciated at
least 3 days in advance to all events.
If you cannot make an event for which you have told us you'd attend, a
phone call is very much appreciatecd. We are family and worry when you
don't arrive.
