Three short reviews of some brand-spanking new noises from Macronympha
and friends:

MXM
Mother Savage Noise Productions
Pretty simple formula, here: take one Monde Bruits, shove through a
Macronympha meat grinder and play. MXM consists of fairly limited
source material from Iwasaki, used in conjunction with the suffucating
crunch of Macronympha's low-end manipulations. Iwasaki's patented
dynamic squawk barely manages to filture through on Side A, so Joe
(who did the mix) eases up a bit on Side B, and succeeds in creating a
sound as dense as it is nerve-shredding. Whatever your preference,
this is bound to be a collectors item since MXM represents the last will
and testament of Monde Bruits, who have apparently hung up their DODs
for good.

OVMN - Optimum Volume Maximum Noise
Mother Savage Noise Productions
Just what the tital says: incredible volume, and even more noise. Similar
flavour to MXM, with low-end crunching assaults from Macronympha
underscored by piercing screeches of 'the harshest' Thirdorgan source
material. Very difficult to ignore, and generally painful, unrelenting
noise nightmare. Highly recommended.

MACRONYMPHA - Crack
Pretty high-end, for these guys, and suprisingly clean: perfect teeth-
pulling music from the Italian b/b label. I guess this is what happens
when Rodger Stella gets to do the final mix. The 2nd-last Macronympha
offering of 1995, Crack comes pre-wrapped in gauze affixed with a
single bandage, all lovingly encased in a sterile plastic container,
complete with latex glove and cotton swab for your protection. Tortured
feedback and layered whitenoise oblivion. To my ear, the most
consistently brutal full-length Macronympha release yet.
