I'm getting ready to buy a MacBook. I want to boot to Winows XP. There's
some programs that won't run in their OS, not to mention I can't afford
spending thousands in more software again. Can use the MacBook like a PC?
Are
there any limitations? I'd LOVE to get away from Microsoft if all will be
the same (or better) with a Mac.
BTW, what program would I use to creat a duel boot?
Many thanks,
Stephen

You should use Boot Camp. It's preinstalled and very easy to use.

You can use bootcamp and it will enable you to run boot on Windows Natively. Or else you can use Virtual Box (Free) or Either Parallels or VMware Fusion (Commercial) to run as a Virtual Machine on OSX.

Just to add the limitations with Bootcamp is that you are limited to the GPU Driver supplied/certified by Apple so if you are planning to play some games you will going to have some problems optimizing the full potential of your GPU.

With using a virtual machine there will be a performance issues associated and usually the performance of the virtualized machine is significantly slower than running Windows natively using Bootcamp, unless you have a really powerful systems with lots of RAM and SSD. This Kind of configuration can sometimes negate some of the performance hit when you're running it via Virtual Machine.
