At the following URL, one can access expert translations of important
byzantine documents, many relating to Macedonia and its history. note,
particularly, the records for the founding of the monastery of Elousa in
Velusa village outside of Strumitsa, among others (I am prejudiced, of
course, having had the privilege of staying at Elousa Monastery of the
