The Obama administration "misread" the depth of the economic troubles
it inherited, said Vice President Joe Biden.
Republican congressional leaders expressed disappointment about the
impact of stimulus spending. "I'm very skeptical that the spending
binge that we're on is going to produce much good and, even if it
does, anytime soon," Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell of
Kentucky said in a statement Sunday.
"I think the economy is just as likely to begin to recover on its own,
wholly aside from this, before much of this has an impact."
House Republican leader John Boehner of Ohio said the GOP had wanted a
bill to focus on small businesses and helping people keep more of what
they earned.
"This was supposed to be about jobs, jobs and jobs. And the fact is it
turned into nothing more than spending, spending and more spending on
a lot of big government bureaucracy," Boehner said.
Even House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., said no one is
satisfied with the results of the stimulus so far.

Which means Congressional job approval has gone up greatly. Last year
wasn't it under 20%?

Hey, Polyanna... didn't you see this part...?

Most folks don't like this Democrat party. Time to abandon your
fantasy world.

But it's still an improvement.
It's going to take quite some time to fix the mess of the past 8 years.
Yes, Congress has better legs to stand on with Herr Cheney over and out.

You look at the total congress. Look at the breakdown. Not many people like
congress but you guys really suck. That "Party of No" just isn't working for
you. Democratic numbers are so low because we've been letting you get away
it. We've got 60 now so things are going to change.

Bush had totally fucked it up even more than they thought. Sounds about
right. No idea why you would want to post it though.
well, apparently they like it better than the republican party. unless
you're planning a run for president under the Alaskan Independence
Party, there aren't a lot of other choices.
Most people don't like Congress. They didn't like Congress when the
Republicans controlled it, they don't like it now, and they won't like
it when the Republicans are back in control of it.
Well, there is little difference, Since the only thing the Democrat
cranks
lnow about budgets is GM, and the only thing the Republican cranks
know about budgets is Lockheed. So the snart third party money
is stiil working On-Line Publishing, on Self-Assembling Robots.

What the hell are you talking about?
Hmmm...
Laughable -repubs were still blaming Clinton well into Bush's 2nd term......
It hasn't been 6 months since BO took office.
Even YOU must realize it's gonna take a bit longer to fix things up.
