BREAKING: Pawlenty won't be in Dayton today, says "was honored to be
considered"
Gov. Tim Pawlenty said this morning that he will he not be in Dayton,
Ohio, today and strongly suggested that he won't be John McCain's
running mate.
"I'm going to be at the [Minnesota] state fair," Pawlenty said on WCCO
just minutes ago.
"I will not be in Dayton, Ohio, so I think that's a fair assumption,"
he added in an interview with the Twin Cities radio station, when
asked if this was an indication that he would not be chosen.
He added: "It was an honor to be considered."
Asked if he was relieved "that the whole thing was over," he joked:
"I'm glad you guys will quit following me around so much."
UPDATE: Pawlenty also told the station that the speculation ""became a
bit of distraction here locally in Minnesota" and that the was happy
now to just become another McCain supporter.

WAIT! Don't get angry ... there's little there to be destroyed!
Thanks to war criminal Bush.
BUT "LACK OF INTEREST" COULD FORCE A DELAY -- OR CANCELLATION OF THE
CONVENTION ...
Because looking to top the Obama show would be like the Repubs trying
to top the Olympics in Beijing!
Last night, Barack tore McCain a new, bigger ASSHOLE! Then again,
McCrink IS an ASHOLE!
So, if Bush attends, the convention, if still on, will feature
BOOKEND
ASSHOLES! What a theme!
Will the Repubs switch to Mitt? For prez?
>Uh-Uh...it looks like it's going to be Sarah Palin..She was seen arriving in Ohio yesterday from
Alaska!!
I don't think McCain and Romney make a good team..too much water under
that primary
season bridge.
Speculation is now that it will be Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, which I
think would
be a bad choice. She brings nothing to the table, with respect to
filling out areas
McCain does not, and while she's a lot younger (44) would only
emphasize his
age.
Matt
I doubt Bush will show up. As I've said, they're trying to distance
themselves from his failed administration. Just as McBush won't pick
someone from his admin for VP like Rice, he would be insane to let the
chimp in.

We must change the way we live,
or the climate will do it for us.
Matt
and send all those Hillary women over away from the man that betrayed them.
Bush was supposed to be the first speaker.
I cannot believe he picked this unknown.
McCain is toast.
-C-
Oh please. Nobody is going to drastically change their minds at this
point. Obama
got almost no bounce from his convention, McCain isn't going to get
one from either
his convention or his VP choice. The Hillary women certainly aren't
going to vote for
an anti-abotionist from Alaska.
Matt
That's what surprises me. She has some skeletons (see the State
Trooper scandal) and some good
points (the ethics investigation, not being connected to oil
interests) but she's a bad choice. He needed
someone that could stand up to Biden, and I don't see her doing it.

No, not really. I don't see this making any difference. The issue is
really whether or not the American people
are willing to accept Obama. If they are, there is nothing McCain
could do.

Holy moley, Wavy Gravy's running as vice president?
That sort of sidelines the "Nobody for President" campaign
that the Hog Farm has been running for thirty years or so.
And it was just this week, forty years ago, that he went
and got one of the pigs that the Yippies used in Chicago,
Phil Ochs getting the other one (there was some argument
about something so they ended up with two pigs).
Of course, I think Wavy was using his real name then, Hugh
Romney.

If Obama keeps speaking like he did last night, the White House is his.
Palin is feminist window dressing for McCain. She won't do well in
debates with Biden.

At first blush, I'd have to agree with you. But I don't know the
woman... only heard something about her briefly when she was
elected... I've never heard her speak and don't know anything about
her background (political, personal, education, etc).
We'll see if she's another Dan Quayle or a LBJ.
-C-
PALIN is under investigation for malfeasance in office! Just what the
nation needs after 8 criminal years with your White house war
criminal.
SAY, IS McCAIN the father of Palin's latest child?
She has at least FIVE ... such stretch marks!
She's but another Repub gun-grasping, religious-freaky, abortion foe
-- with zero experience outside of the
delivery room!
So, did Mc"Cane" toss in the towel with the Palin pick? Are the
Repubs giving up?
He'd have done just as well picking a D.C. whore off of
14th Street. Which Palin might turn out to be, she being Republican.

As for those Clinton backers threatening to vote the McCain ticket, I
say --- BE MY GUEST! SUCKERS!
Ahhhh... the so-tolerant left.
Too fucking funny.
