The Polish community of Meriden, CT. will start the New Year of 2006
with some Very Sad news. Father Ed Nadolny is leaving St. Stanislaus
Church after 15 years of dedicated priestly service. The Most Reverend
Henry J. Mansell, Archbishop of Hartford, was pleased to appoint Father
Ed as the new Pastor of Sacred Heart Parish of East Berlin, CT.
effective January 31, 2006. This appointment is for a term of six years.
The Parishioners of Sacred Heart are still mourning the death of their
beloved long time pastor, Father Thomas Culotta. Father Culotta also
served in Meriden, CT. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on Goodwill
Avenue. Sacred Heart Parish in East Berlin was established in 1967 and
is a much smaller parish than St. Stanislaus in Meriden. Father Nadolny
is getting older and this small church was just what he was looking for.
Father Ed has been a priest in sevice to The Archdiocese of Hartford for
the past 45 years. St. Stanislaus Church has a website On Line at:
www.apostles.com/ststanislaus.html and you can find Father Ed on this
great site. Check it out. If you would like to send a card to Father Ed
his address is St. Stanislaus Church 82 Akron Street Meriden, CT. 06450.
You can also call the Rectory at
203-235-6341 and Im sure someone will
help you. Father Ed will be greatly missed by all at St. Stanislaus. Im
sure the parishioners of Sacred Heart will welcome him with open arms
and will be very happy that he was appointed to their parish. From
myself Tom Coss, I wish Father Ed Sto Lat and all the best! God Bless
