I went through something similar, all i can say is if someone else's
secret becomes your secret, and someone else's shame becomes your
shame, there's always going to be another person... somewhere... who
*can* hold it over your head if you ever pass on your secret to him or
her... expecting it to remain one. By doing so, sometimes you give
away power... and sometimes that's all right, but other times it can
go wrong. What if that person gets pissed off? What if that person
uses it against you? What if that person tells? Ta hell with living in
that kind of fear. Might as well lay that secret down and let everyone
see it because it's a matter of fact. It happened. Now it's done. No
more secret. No more fear. The world did not explode.

everything he is doing about Anna Mae is a spiritual thing. It's not.
He's just keeping his own butt out of prison. I also fell for that
story about his brother abusing his own daughter and richard's
daughter. I told him my story and told him to get them into therapy so
they don't spend their life thinking something is wrong with them. I
didn't know he was just looking for something to use against me. I
should have learned that from demain. He's the same kind of scum. Live
and learn. I feel like all my skin fell off and I'm a walking wound.
But I know I'll heal. No more monsters. I suppose I should thank the
mangy mutt. It's funny he's blaming me for everything. The feds had no
evidence against Arlo and they have none against John. That's not my
fault. I'm not the one that destroyed evidence.
The nettles are coming up now. They're perfect for eating right now. I
saw one flower on the salmonberry bushes at the river. There is snow
in the mountains and it is COLD at night. But with all the budding
life, spring is out there somewhere.
