We've Been Had
Shusli received an e-mail from a former step daughter of Bernard
Redcherries concerning Della Redcherries. For those of you who don't
remember, Della Redcherries was a young woman who had gone missing
from state custody and her father, Bernard, asked us at "Mitakuye
Oyasin" about a year and a half ago to help find her. We did a few
shows about it. From the e-mail Shusli received (you can read about it
on her blog), it is clear that we'd been had.
According to Bernard's former step daughter, he was abusing Della as
well as his step children and their mother. That explains Della's
behavior.
Shusli suspected something right off. I figured he was a soft spoken
spiritual leader who seemed rather genuine. I didn't gather much
information about him from the community, and I had never heard of him
other than when he asked for our help.
May Della find healing from her ordeals and be blessed with a good and
healthy life. May justice be served where it needs to be served.
I apologize for the disinformation we had set out there. It was our
intent to help. We didn't have all the information we needed to make
good decisions.

Hava Great Day!
Nuttin Follerz...
Those poor kids.
It's about time word got out about this predator. He's been living
outside of the N.Cheyenne community for many years now, preying on
those who don't know his past. He promotes himself on the internet as
some kind of spiritual elder and leader, but this is the reality: he
is an abuser, a batterer, a rapist, a predator.
I'm not surprised Eugene and Shusli were fooled. He can be very
convincing to those who only know him superficially. But over time he
becomes less capable of hiding his anger, his evil, his sadism, his
alcoholism and drug abuse. Over time, you start wondering why his
family no longer speak to him, why some of them have court orders for
him to stay away from them, and why he's not wanted at home in LD.
Then you hear about the restraining orders, and the warrants.
I am so glad the family members are starting to speak out, because
it's those who have lived with him who know the truth. He's left a
path of devastation through a few different families and states,
running away and starting over when his reputation starts to catch up
with him.Hopefully he won't be able to run much longer. Hopefully he
won't be able to fool people any more.
I'll probably get threats from him for commenting on this, for
speaking up about what I know, but I don't care any more. He's hurt
too many young women, boys and women. He's harmed too many who he
claimed to love. He has to be stopped.
so, lets STOP him...
i'd be interested in what jurisdiction the warrants are issued out of,
and what they are for...

Search the page on "Coltte" it's about halfway down the page.
Definitely him.
He might be heading into my neck of the woods then, if he can stay out
of jail long enough. Maybe I should invite him over for some of my
special 12 gauge tea! ;-p
He covers a number of issues such as the Ward Churchill case, and who
is helping or harming the Indian community. Some of the follow up on
the Bernard Red Cherries (aka Bernard Redcherries aka Robert Coltte)
situation:
"Then there are the pedigree certified BIA card carrying easily
identifed for the round ups Indians that folks don't talk about much
either. Folk like:
"Bernard Red Cherries, the man who asked for our help about a year and
a half ago to help find his daughter, Della Red Cherries who escaped
from state custody. Bernard claimed that he was a spiritual leader
amongst the Cheyenne, I believe. Well, as time opened up to the
healing of some of the wounds this "real Indian" has caused, a couple
of his former step children came forward to Shusli and sent her e-
mails about his abuse not only of them, their other siblings, and
their mother, but of also witnessed abuse of Della. Rocky Mountain
News?"
"I certainly don't feel proud to be Indian because of Bernard Red
Cherries, lb, or Stan Spotted Wolf, real pedegree injuns with BIA
cards and everything. Nor do I feel proud to be Indian through the
works of Brooke Medicine Eagle, Sun Bear, Lynn Andrews, Sam Gill, nor
anthropologists in general."
do you realize you have made the same copy and paste of other
people'swords and links to their posts, and nothing original?
you are aware that you must be able to login?
how were you able to get in and post that link?

a fancy way of saying drunk driving .
You are right, it's turning up a password log in now. This happened
once before and then later it was publicly accessible again. I don't
know why it changes back and forth.
Here's another one. The "false imprisonment" charge is still the same,
though now "kidnapping" is replaced with "robbery". I assume there was
a plea bargain or something: http://lancjes2.lincoln.ne.gov/LANCPRD2/IWW810/IW10/JCO852?sys=+&vCase=1986100043
If that one doesn't work, and you get the search function page, the
form of his name on this one is REDCHERRIES BERNARD L 09/05/62
considering the charges, i find the bond and the sentence ridiculously
low.
especially for a native.
nooooo...
from what i understand, that website has always been for state
employees.
and law enforcement, both state and *federal*.
this is lizzy tool, right?
never mind, you would not say if you were.
mebbe so i be wrong.
dunno about that.
No, not lizzy. The page just came up when I clicked on it now:
http://dcs-inmatesearch.ne.gov/Corrections/InmateDisplayServlet?DcsId=37720
Like I said, it's always been kinda erratic. It would really help
people avoid these criminals if there was a national data base. As it
is, people have to know which exact prison someone was in, then find
that website (if there is one) and then figure out how to search it.
It shouldn't be so hard for civilians to find out what someone was
locked up for.
If the records are public, as they must be as the page shows up for
others who've been emailed the link, it doesn't make sense that
sometimes it asks for a password. Maybe the site has security
problems. Ironic. I mean, it's a PRISON.
I can make a screen capture if you want.
Yeah. There's something wrong with this country when people do more
time for doing drugs than for kidnapping.
