and these are empowered by the
same four states of consciousness:
.
If you think of holy things, you become holy. If your heart is always
filled with love, no hatred can penetrate; nothing can mar your peace
and tranquillity.
.
But the law works the other way also. If you are careless and let alien
thoughts persist, they will change your nature.
.
Whenever you criticize anyone or find fault with anyone or think evil of
anyone, that evil comes to you.
.

.
When can a master define what is at the hand of the Supreme and at the
foot of the Supreme ? Never, anymore than one can add to, subtract from,
multiply or divide their Self.
.
Where is the justice in suffering the rest of one's life the personality
traits of how things were in their growing up ? There isn't any. None is
promised.
.
What can I do about my not liking it?
What can I do to fix that ?
.
One gains unconditional acceptance first through tolerance. Acceptance
by preference however is by condition of inclusion and exclusion.
.
.
According to what he thinks upon, a man can create an atmosphere of
radiance, exuberance, buoyancy; and this brings joy. Or he can carry
gloom with him.
.
We have to meditate on something. Our mind must dwell on some object.
.
By the steadfast practice of meditation with unwavering mind (not moving
elsewhere) Higher Nature, one unites with the Higher.
.
.
If a man's thought, aspiration and action are one, that man is free. He
does not blunder.
.
.
We must build up our own life by our thought. There are many ways by
which we can do this.
.
It is a matter of the habit of thought.
.
It is a test of character as one chooses to be either bitter or better
for the experience.
.
Content with oneself is the
working of moment to moment, hour to hour, day by day, year by
year........the truth of our BEING.
.
How does one weed out the
sacrifices made in the name of love, whereby they have but sacrificed
their most inner truth and connection with Self ?
.
If the Self is to stand strong and be expressed fully in us, as us,
through us, then each and every compromise along the way through the
years surely diminishes in ways allowing the Light, Love, and Life
radiance presence.
.
The question may be then, "Did
I truly compromise in the name of Love, for them, or, did I for my own
sake believing at the time it made things more harmonious ?
.
This may be more difficult in a relationship, especially with a spouse
or a family member. It is more difficult in the name of love and the
justifications which come with it.
.
No matter where we find ourself in the present, we have given our
agreement to it, bit by bit by bit, making us solely responsible for how
and what we think, feel, say, believe, and do.
.
.
We mingle the two by prayer and devotion to an Ideal. But it is not
enough to ask for material things; our prayer must be that our
understanding may be opened.
.
It is very necessary for us to find our bearing. It is necessary for us
to cleanse and polish the mind. A clean mind is one of the most
beneficial things we can acquire.
.
.
Our spiritual experience is not shut away from our human experience. Our
daily life is closely inter-related with our spiritual life.
.
One who truly understands is not born again upon leaving the body, but
attains:
Freed from attachment, fear and anger, that one is absorbed and has
refuge in The Light and Love. Purified by the fire of wisdom they are at
Home through Life.
.
.
We cannot conceive of God as other than all-loving.
.
.
Great souls are never caught in the net of the personal.
.
They are not conscious of small, petty things.
.
.
When people lack higher idealism, they give way easily to brooding and
despondency and they depress others.
.
›
If it cannot be applied and is there shut off from the Light of Day then
that spirituality is no more than a waste container for every whim and
woe.

Why would you turn to either Demon or Diety to be or do anything the
you have not the courage to be or do within yourself?

This Truth reveals why any threat acted upon becomes a threat upon the
initiator of that act.
.
.
We must keep our mind pure, watchful and open to the higher realm of
thought.
.
No aloofness from our fellow-men can insure us connection with the Heart
of God.
.
The reaction of one who keeps on brooding is gloominess, like a thick
cloud. We can never afford to take a discontented or careless attitude.
.
.
When we perceive that a thing is detrimental, what can we do?
Counteract it.
.
.
The more human we become the more likely we are to suffer. Approachable
means vulnerable, woundable, and not made hard by history of abuse.
.
.
.
Life is not solved, so no one really becomes permanently comfortable.

The Halls of Learning eventually bring us to Wisdom of The Ages.

One can have nothing, yet possess a sense of princely heritage. What is
renunciation?
.
.
.
As our outlook changes, we outgrow the limitations of greed, pride,
envy and all the narrowness of the little self.
.
An awakened soul is never touched by earthly things.
.
It is giving up self-pity,self-indulgence, self-limitation; it means no
longer yielding to a lower order of things.
.
So many people want happiness with a fervent longing, but the fever of
self keeps them from attaining it.

.
But the self-subjugated attains peace and moves among objects with the
senses under control, free from any longing or
aversion. (Bhagavad-Gita)
.
From loss of memory, the discriminative faculty is ruined and from the
ruin of discrimination one perishes.
.
Let there be nothing harsh, nothing discordant in your heart. How can
anyone dare to be unkind?
.
Arm yourself with gentleness and non-resistance and you will always be
safe.
.
.
Humility, gentleness and forbearance will save you. Great souls, when
they are humbled or condemned or crushed, rise up stronger than ever.
.
If you were not thwarted, how would you practice forbearance and
fortitude?
.
Try to cultivate these three with tireless spirit.
.
When our heart is humble, then we never quarrel or criticize; we only
love and love ever breeds tolerance.
.
.
When we succeed in keeping our mind in tune, in intuitive rhythm,
nothing can thwart us, whatever difficulties may overtake us.
.
Without these three we cannot be in harmony.
