Well thanks, Jennifer. I think. This interview may be even harder to take
than the Cleveland article. Be prepared.

Now, can someone tell me, who is Kristen? She's obviously the subject of the
album's love songs, but I don't recall her name being mentioned before.

I'm guessing that he really said Crystal and was just misheard.

Wow, Warren's answer to the last question in the interview said it all.

Oooh! He's got a private life! How nice for him!! Just because no one's ever
mentioned him having a sweetie doesn't mean he's not in a "pair-bond."

Back in November, during the Anita G. brouhaha, RubaiyatGirl said:
>> Warren is not the type of man to sustain a relationship. <<

Perhaps he finally learned how to do that.

Of course, Terri might be exactly right and he said Crystal. I suppose we'll
find out during the show. Or not.

If there is a sweetheart, I can understand her wanting to stay under the radar.
I recall Letterman saying once that he mentioned "the girlfriend's" full name
and where she was from, and folks showed up in Cleveland, camping out on her
family's doorstep, wanting to know all about Dave.

I think the VH1 documentary will tell us who Kristen is, because the interview
seems very much like a continuation of a conversation and maybe the person
(Kristen) was introduced earlier, and we're just "hearing" (reading) an
excerpt, so it seems confusing.

Besides, VH1 has had how many months (???) to edit the final version of the
"documentary," to get it *right*. If the interviewer or editor gets things
wrong, or worse, makes things up, is it still a documentary in the true sense
of the word?

Also, and not that it matters and this is entirely silly, but I can now join
the "I had a dream about WZ Club." A couple of weeks ago, I dreamt he was
driving around LA in a red, convertible, MG (circa 1970) with a tall
thirty-something blonde and they were both carefree and smiling.  Now that I'm
thinking about it, she looked like a Kristen!

When I woke up, I thought, DAMN IT TO HELL! In my one and only dream about WZ,
he's with another woman!

At the Letterman show he was with a tall blond. Maybe it' s her. Or maybe I'm
remembering wrong. I have a very poor memory.

Ashley has pictures on his page showing WZ with a blonde, after the LSwDL.

Maybe it's her. But then again, maybe not.

I still say it is Crystal. The rest of the songs on the disc revolve around
a past love so I would think that this song caps it off.

There's a Kristen Steffl mentioned on the cover of MRH. It's the last name
on the *thanks* blurb.

Good catch, Judy! No hits at all on Google, though.

No, tidbits like that are pretty hard to find (like a needle in a haystack).
Crystal used to have a little autobiographical thing out there which was
rather interesting, but it went away. I don't blame the family et al for
putting on their camouflage just now. Privacy can be a crucial need, and I
wish them all they can use. However, if it's on an album liner, or hidden
in a song or published interview, one of us here will find and share it.
We're just that way. We all care very much, in our own way and for our own
reasons, and I for one wouldn't want to blab something that would hurt WZ or
any of his people, or just piss them off. He knows we're out here. But
right now, we're bobbing heads waiting to pull out our plastic and cash on
the 26th. We're helping.

Thanks for the attagirl.

Judy M.
