According to the liner notes of "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead" it is a Hawaiian
idiom that loosely translates to "sing the chorus" or "get to the point."

Good question -- I thought I had the answer but no. I tracked down the
translation of the Spanish words on Veracruz, etc.-- but not this Hawaiian
banter.

Surely one of our Zevonholic friends has the answer . . .

the "get to the point" or "everybody sing the chorus now" or "EVERYBODY join
in" translations are the ones I've seen/heard/read several times...NOW someone
translate the Russian in the chorus to "Turbulence", won't you?

Someone told me once that it translates, "Let the song tell the story."

translation from the Russian (chours to "turbulence"):
>A lost village in the red desert
>The silence of the enemy from all sides
>And I wish I could see Mama

Thank you, Michelle!
