I've been listening to Peter Machajdik's new album _Namah_ (available
by e-mailing na...@machajdik.de -- price £14/€17/$26). This is a
moving, contemporary classical album. I mention it here as one track
is in collaboration with Jon Anderson. "Sadness of Flowing" is a 10-
minute, multi-part piece by Machajdik with vocals/lyrics by Anderson.
(Sound samples at http://www.myspace.com/petermachajdikmusic.) For me,
this is Anderson's best work of the last six years: it's a very
delicate and intimate vocal performance and some of his better lyrics
(reminiscent of "The Spell" on the Animation re-release). Fuller
review to follow.
