Why the "UK/Eddie Jobson" moniker? Did Jobson open the show or something?

When the tour was first announced it was supposed to be "Eddie Jobson - 40
Years of Music". According to his FB page there was trouble selling tickets
on the West Coast, so they updated the lineup to a U.K. Reunion Tour.
I saw the band perform at the Highline Ballroom in NYC. I now have a better
appreciation of drummer Virgil Donati. I saw him once before with Allan
Holdsworth and Jimmy Haslip. The band was in great form and Virgil more than
did justice to material originally recorded with Bill Bruford and Terry
Bozzio. It was great to hear the old songs and Eddie's solo spot. I
continue to be impressed by the richness of the King Crimson's catalog.
"Starless" and "Red" were highlights for me.

The Egg, Albany, NY-4/25
This show was even better than Baltimore which I thought was the best at the
time. Everybody played very well and they all seemed to be having fun on
stage. This was Virgil's best performance so far, even better than
Baltimore. He really played very well the entire night. This room sounded
the best so far as well. I cannot over emphasize how really great this show
was. The crowd was terrific and gave a standing ovation to every single
song!

Was a fantastic show!!
Very small crowd, which doesn't surprise me for Albany..........(But an
enthusiastic crowd!!)
I had a chance to see the original U.K. in Boston in the 70's but I had to
pass up the opportunity..........
Was one of the nicest most intimate shows I have ever attended, only one
that comes close was Pat Metheny at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall in the
early 80's.
Would be proud to have them back and get a shot to see them again in a nice
setting like the Egg.

It seems that the rule for King Crimson alums is that they are only

allowed to play material recorded before they were members of the
band...explaining why Wetton would play "ITCOTCK" with Asia, while
Gunn would play "Starless" with UKZ, but neither would actually play
stuff they recorded.
Yes has made this issue much simpler by having members leave and
return multiple times, making it possible for members to
simultaneously predate and follow material that they played upon.
