>Volume III: Related groups and solo (90 min.)
>---------------------------------------------
>Side One
[...]
>The Buggles
>I Am A Camera (4:55)
>- later became Into the Lens
^^^^^
To be very picky, this version -- from _Adventures in Modern Recording_
-- *postdates* "Into the Lens", although it is presumably faithful to
The Buggles's original conception of the song.
>Blue Nylon (2:33)
>Fade Away (2:59)
>Johnny on The Monorail (alt. version) (3:45)
>Island (3:32)
-- all being b-sides (?).
>Side Two
[...]
>The Syn
>Grounded (2:16)
>Created By Clive (2:30)
>Flowerman (2:35)
>14th Hour Technicolor Dream (2:55)
>- Chris Squire/Peter Banks' old group [...]
Does anyone know the writing credits for these?
>Volume IV: Yesteria Part I- unreleased and live tracks (100 min.)
[...]
>Side Two
[...]
>For Everyone (9:07)
>- a demo, which was later incorporated into Starship Trooper's
>Disillusion [...]
To continue being picky, it wasn't a demo. "For Everyone" was a fully
developed and much played song. When and why it was abandoned, save for
Squire's middle section becoming "Disillusion", I don't know.
>Volume VI: Yesteria Part III- unreleased and live tracks (90 min.)
[...]
>Side Two
[...]
>The Paris Sessions (these are the 1979 demos which the band was working
>on when Jon & Rick left) [...]
It seems that Anderson at least actually left later -- cf. 1980 Melody
Maker interview.
>Volume XIV: Yescellaneous II (90 min.)
>--------------------------------------
>Side One
>========
>Mabel Greer's Toyshop- Beyond and Before (4:32)
>- a pre-Yes band, with Jon, Pete & Chris [...]
*The* pre-Yes band. Anderson joined Mabel Greer and they later changed
their name to Yes. It is debatable -- and unclear -- how much Yes was a
new band or simply a name change.
>Rock Aid Armenia
>Smoke On The Water (4:22)
>Smoke On The Water (extended version) (5:50)
>- Rockers for aid in Armenia. Features Geoff Downes & Chris Squire.
>Also in the band were such well-konwns as: Alex Lifeson (Rush), Bruce
>Dickinson (Iron Maiden), and Brian May (Queen)
Specifically, in aid of disaster relief after the earthquake. Downes was
one of the leaders of the project, while Squire just one of many guests.
>Neurotrend Demos- These are demos the band GTR did after Steve Hackett
>left. [...]
The band goes under many names. Howe seems to prefer Nero & the Trends.
>Volume XV: Yescellaneous III (90 min.)
>--------------------------------------
>Side One
>========
[...]
>The Chris Squire Experiment- recorded in San Jose, CA 8.25.92
[...]
>Billy Sherwood & Alan White are both part of the CSE. [...]
And Jimmy Haun (?).
>Volume XXV: X,Y,Z,W, and R (90 min.)
>------------------------------------
>Side One:
>=========
>The XYZ Sessions
>
>Instrumental #1
>Instrumental #2
>Can You See
>Telephone Secrets [...]
The two songs have alternate titles of "Outside the Door" and "Telephone
Spies". I've no idea where either set of titles comes from.
