1. Hey Hey What Can I Do
- Not only was this song never performed, this song was never
released on a studio album. And this in my opinion is one of the best
rock songs ever

2. Ramble On
- They never performed this song completely. And this is usually
considered their best song ever. And this has one of the most amazing
interplay between Jones and Page and also the sweetest bassline ever

3. Your Time Is Gonna Come
- This song continues to be underrated. I don't know why. This is one
of my favorite song from the debut album

4. Gallows Poke
- only performed once apparently. And soundboard versions of this
performance don't exist. I would have loved to see Page play the
banjo.

5. Bron Yr Aur
- same as Gallows Pole. A great melodic instrumental by Page and I
think their best instrumental

6. Good Times Bad Times
- the thundering first song from their first album. I wonder why they
didn't play this entirely ever.

7. Livin Lovin Maid
- what a great dancy song! Don't know why they didnt perform this one
either

8. Down By The Seaside
- another ballad type song which is very melodic. Ignored for some
reason

9. Fool in the Rain
- Best song from their late era. Curiously underrated by the band
themselves

10. Hats off To Roy Harper
- again another great song which is ignored these days.

A who fan? Like what? it's some sort of pissant popularity contest?
Why would I be "Jealous" of anything in this context you pathetic
shithead? What is your mission, exactly, troll boy?

BTW: Saw both bands live, guess which one could be counted on to 'get
it right' night after night? Here's a hint: it had nothing to do with
witchcraft or gangsters.

The Who fans have been total bitches for a long time when it comes to
Led Zeppelin. This debate has been going on since the 70s. Who is the
better hard rock band? The Who were good live but didnt have enough
great songs. Thats why they didnt sell even 1/10th of what Zeppelin
sold. Their fans are still sore about it.

They played this song on their last tour...

The other songs you mentioned either weren't their favorites, or were
throwaway/afterthoughts to them...

Oh and while we're at it, perhaps you can refute the following:

1. "The Song Remains The Same" had to have sections re-shot due to
live suckage and they still hit more clams than a snowplow on rehoboth
beach in the released version of the film.

2. They stole A LOT from other artists. And were very successfully
sued because of that.

3. They SUCKED LIVE and most people who say them were disappointed.
Unless they were fanboi types sitting home jacking off over pictures
of Robert Plant in his tight pants.

Bullshit. That was towards the end of the tour and they were tired.
Why pick the bad days? There were 100 better concerts that Led
Zeppelin performed. You are just trying to be an ass,

Other artists? Like ones born 20 years earlier? And how much did they
borrow? Some riffs and lyrics? On how many songs? Borrowing is a blues
tradition, dummy.

Ramble On is not their favorite? Why include it in every compilation?
I have seen Good Times Bad Times in many compilations as well. I
woudnt call any of those songs throwaways. They are all excellent. If
I was talking about Ozone Baby, then thats another thing.

Yeah, this is gonna get real boring real quick Rajamus, but I will

contemporary/forward-looking, not nostalgia-based.

You are the Led Zep expert huh? Ever heard Taurus by Spirit? Or maybe
you want to suck on this one for a while:

http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/ledzep1.html

http://www.artandpopularculture.com/Led_Zeppelin_copyright_controversy

Blues tradition is for blues artists, stealing whole songs is a
british tradition going back to the skiffle days and Lonnie Donnegan
who ripped off Libba Cotton amongst others.

Go lie down.

Sheer laziness, combined with monumental egotism.

Zeppelin made up a standard setlist for a tour, and rarely deviated
from it, especially after 1972.

Plus, when one-third of your concert, and well over an hour is devoted
to wanking on two songs and a crappy drum solo, you don't get to play
more songs.

Why? Jimmy Page was a crappy banjo player. Jerry Garcia could
actually PLAY the banjo.
