Hey! It's free. What do you want for free?
You should've said-- "Hey! It's free. What do you want for free?" ;-)

Shouldn't they have said yes to the free tickets and then tried to
sell them on eBay?
Why not make a few bucks on the deal like the rest of the scalper
jerks?
(tongue planted firmly in cheek, and a bash against Mr. Goodwin who
says if I don't think scalping on eBay is cool, then I should just
stay away from it entirely)

WTF are you talking about? If you're gonna "bash" then at least clarify
yourself.

Well, as for my daughter, she's been to many many YES shows and will
probably join me in L.A.. Our children have been surrounded by YES
music for a long time. Right now, they're becoming interested in
industrial/house/club music, which we all listened to in the car for the
last 4 days. BOOM BOOM BOOM. Different music for different people.
When offered the tickets, they were probably being polite in refusing,
as we've trained them over the years not to take 'candy from strangers'.
They had made plans with us before the show, and the responsible thing
for them to do would be to stick with the plans, even if it meant
turning down a wonderful show.
I was fairly proud of their actions, thought I do wish they had gone to
the concert. The hotel room was only 100 yards from the show.
As I was exiting the venu during Roundabout (g), it was plenty loud in
the parking lot. I'm sure they could have heard it from the room.

You know, "Free Mandela," or "Free Wynona", etc.
