I was thinking about hidden tracks for instance on CD's such as "Roots - Do
You Want More" and it had me also thinking of endings of songs and
beginnings where entertainment gets extremely creative. Long story short
making a digital copy of my "High and Mighty" record made it not so obvious
where one track ends and the next begins. Then it got me really thinking
about the "hidden track" style of extra song. I was wondering if that when
you put the needle to the last track of the album, that if you could get it
to act different then if you were to let it play through, where the needle
takes a different groove that comes around the same as if set there but upon
the speed directive that it takes it gets a different longer track so that
the time between the end of the last song and the start of the hidden track
is significant in minutes, but not if the needle is directly put there. Had
me thinking about the breaks between etched songs on a vinyl and what they
do in difference. Another idea was if it could be etched so that the end of
one song trails on longer into the next, where as if you track the next
song, it really started already, sort of an overlap instead of just choosing
a direct cut somewhere in time.
