Roger Opening for Clapton

Eric Clapton Solo U.S. Tour – 25 February to 13 March 2010.

The tour will stop in 11 cities: Pittsburgh, Nashville, Birmingham,
Tulsa, Kansas City, Memphis, New Orleans, Raleigh, Atlanta, Fort
Lauderdale and Orlando. The shows will kick off with special guest,
Roger Daltrey.

Clapton will most likely have more dates added to that
itinerary....although, maybe without Roger. What's listed is a very
limited tour. No NYC, Boston, Chicago, LA, Scranton....

Also, I wonder if Roger will take the stage with Eric at any
point....???

Not sure if this is a NYC only show. Too lazy to research. :O)

So far, and 2 shows in Canada. Despite the economy, the tickets are
pretty steep. Starting at $70.00, and going all the way up to $225.00.
Then again, when Cream was at MSG a few years ago, good seats were
upwards to $350.00.

But seriously... I hope that this tour will HELP Rog for the SuperBowl,

Me too. If Roger opens...it would be nice if Eric came back during
Roger's set.

The obvious choice of songs for Eric and Roger to do together is
"Eyesight to the Blind." As Clapton often has a well-known opener sit
in with him late in his set, I'd say the odds are pretty good that
Roger will sit in with him.

Seems like most of the classic rockers are doing short tours.
Makes sense though. Do a one/two month tour
take a month or so break then another two month tour or so. We
old guys need our rest. LOL!!

While you may be joking, what you say makes perfect sense. 6-7 shows
a week is rough on a young voice - it will destroy an older one.

McCartney just put out a live album from his NYC shows this summer.
His voice is in better shape than on previous large tours, probably
because he only did a handful of shows spread out over several weeks.
His voice was well rested between shows.

I guess this rules out Roger appearing at "The Music of the Who" show
at Carnegie Hall on March 2nd...

Pete's out, too, according to his staff. Don't buy a ticket to see
Roger or Pete--they won't be there.
