Looking over the credits to the Tommy Soundtrack, I noticed JE didn't play bass
on all the songs and KM didn't play drums on a few songs. Anyone know why?

I have no answer but a related question- who is Caleb Quaye? Someone told me they
thought it was Jeff Beck using a pseudonym, but I'm not convinced.

Keith wasn't available because he was working on the set of the movie
"Stardust." Supposedly a lot of the drumming on the "Tommy" soundtrack
was done by Kenney Jones, which is one of the main reasons he got the
job after Keith's death.

Caleb Quaye was a black session guitarist. He played on some of Elton John's
albums. He was the leader of the band Hookfoot, and also played with Hall and
Oates.
