venue! too expensive though! 100 bucks... great drummer. did a really
nice job. bass was too low in the mix as usual for the last 20 times
i've seen anything who related... roger forgot some lyrics and made
senility jokes a few times. need sleep now.

i've never been good at remembering setlists and stuff... not in this

the real me (bass wayyyy toooo low! ruins the show in a way.)
going mobile (drummer was great on this!)
a very ill-conceived johnny cash medley felt like a bad vegas dream.
a few covers that i have no idea of and that didn't go over very well.
days of light (messed up lyrics and had to start the song over after
getting all the way to the second chorus) (talked about his writing
and said, "at least you can understand what i'm talking about" and
laughed... and then messed up the next song too, which felt a little
odd and unpro...

pictures of lily and that's all i can remember... but there weren't
too many more. it wasn't an over long show. i was hoping for more solo
stuff like mcvicar and i dunno, maybe some of the "best bits", but
there wasn't a song from that album, which i think is a shame...
oh crap, there is is on the website... one of those songs in the
middle, not sure which one. maybe a second out? not sure. was
TERRIBLE! and they messed it up and did it again a few songs later,
but all in all, i love seeing him on stage and it was a good night for
about 999 men born before the vietnam war and me...

That was fine. I appreciate it. Hopefully by time he gets to NYC
in Nov. he has worked out

Just saw the Orpheum Theatre show in L.A. last night; it was good
overall. Roger did most of the above set--exceptions being Without
Your Love from McVICAR; Ring of Fire only, Naked Eye, a couple of
Celtic-flavored songs from an album called LARGO--one originally sung
by Taj Mahal and the other by Garth Hudson. With regards to Blue, Red
and Grey--he tried it for the first number and muffed lyrics after
first verse--abandoned and band appeared, going into Who Are You, then
tried it later and abandoned, finally sang it in its entirety late in
the set. Due to the apparent 11:00 curfew, no actual encore.
Assuming the songs he did after Baba O'Riley would have been counted
as encores. Young Man Blues the highpoint of the night.
Would like to see Roger revive the blues version of My Generation at
some point on this tour.

Wow...I'm surprised.
If he can do it with 'The Chieftains'...he could do it in concert...he
did it BEFORE, on his 'Daltrey sings The Who' tour.
