Hey Weezer fans,
I just got back from Weezer's concert here in Nashville and I had a
great friggin time. Ozma sounds like Weezer used to, Saves the Day was cool
cuz they're young (but their songs sound the same), and Weezer was just sexy
as hell. They were so friggin laid back that the crowd had to depend on the
classicness of the songs to get up. My bro's friend's dad got us backstage
passes and I got to drink Cuomo's milk and snap a shot of Pat. Oh yeah, and
some of Ozma's favorite records are "Revolver," "Abbey Road," "Blonde on
Blonde," "Led Zeppelin II," and some records by Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, and
the Flaming Lips. I surfed on Buddy Holly and came home one big sweaty mass
:) Was anyone else in here there?

Really, I thought the total opposite. I thought their age made their music
sound terrible. Give them a few years, and I might be coming around to Saves
the Day island.

Saves the day was horrible. Their lead singer is awful. A few funny/cool
things I learned last night:

1. Karl said Slob sounds amazing on Maladroit.
2. In reference to the a/v page, Karl said " we're gonna kick somebody's ass "
3. Karl had not talked to Matt Sharp in almost 2 years, and had no idea what
he was up to.
4. Karl has also not talked to Mikey since he left, and hinted that Mikey
probably had no desire to.
5. Scott said that he didnt quit Broken, but that he was actually fired from
the band.
6. The Black Hole demos were in horrible condition due to bad editing, hence
Blast Off, and said that the rest of them are also all cut to hell.

Ok thats it

i was in there. i'm the guy who lost his wallet, cos the security guard took
the chain off my wallet when i entered the building. luckily, a good samaritan
found my wallet, and decided not to pocket it. Weezer fans still rule!!

good show. i enjoyed Saves the Day, whom i hadn't seen before. and Ozma and
Weezer are always good.
the Good Life sounded great. -j o n

i hate it when they do that. i could maybe understand removing three foot long
chains and all, but a normal sized functional wallet chain? what's the point?

I just got back too. That show was fucking rad. I met this sweet Latvian
girl named Eva. I almost fell in love twice, once with the keyboardist from
Ozma, and once with Eva. Ozma kicked ass, I was too drunk to listen to Saves
the Day. So drunk was I that I was breakdancing in between sets. My hotel
was 15 miles from downtown Nashville, but the reservation agent said it was
downtown, so I got a fat discount on the Courtyard Marriott a few blocks
away. Somehow I ended up in this Country Western bar until like 2:30 in the
morning after I gave up looking for other Weezer fans. The show had the
youngest audience of any Weezer show I had ever been too. This kid in front
of me in line wasn't even aware that Weezer had two other albums, he hadn't
heard of Goat Punishment either. Fuckin' Newbie!

Yeah, I was there, and I had a blast. Except, some guy kicked me in the head
when crowd surfing. Rat bastard. But, anyway, I was the long haired kid with
the Woodstock shirt, who obviously didn't go to the concert but doesn't care
anyway. I thought Ozma was great, though I had to watch them from the upper
seats since someone gave me their main floor ticket between sets.

Did Ozma play a new song at your show?

I have no clue. The only names I caught were Battle Scars, Domino Effect,
and I think he said Box, or something. I'm fairly sure they played The
Tetris Song too. But, that's all I know, sorry.
