SPECIAL GOODNESS AT VINO'S/LITTLE ROCK

Last night the Special Goodness played in my hometown. Props to Ben, cos I
couldn't have set up the show w/o his information. Anyway, I saw them play in
Fayetteville the night before, but I enjoyed the Little Rock show much more cos
I knew what to expect. The live show is a LOT louder than the cd. They played
a rad show and Mikey talked some girls into go-go dancing on the last two songs
and proceeded to jump out into the crowd while playing bass. It rocked!! I
also rode to Kinko's with Karl in their "pimp" van. By the way, they have cd's
again in case any of you guys were wondering.
As far as Mikey fitting into Weezer, he definitely will. Half the show I was
just watching his basslines. He is an incredible bassist. He CAN sing too.
He even did some of those characteristic high vocals during the shows that Matt
did in Weezer. I know longer think of him as "the other guy". He may not be
the overman, but he is as mellow as Ben Murphy, or even Craig Trusley.
