I need to know what the latest news is on the alleged new Ween release
--without having to sift through the trash.

As far as I've heard through a system of connections, someone at one of
their recent shows asked Gene when it would be out and he said not for a
while. He also said they've only got about half of it recorded. I can't
guarantee the reliability of the info, but it's as much as I know right now.

nononononononono - not for quite a while. NONE of it is recorded properly,
yet (only songwriting demo's have been made). Oh, except for Homo Rainbow
on the South Park soundtrack, but that's another story

Oh - just that they got thrown off the soundtrack album, at the last minute,
due to the song having the title "Homo Rainbow." The 'suits' didn't want a
'parental advisory' sticker on the CD.

But then, Stone & Parker heard about it and intervened & it was decided to keep
Ween but change the song title. So, they had to hurredly record the song & get
it out to Rick Ruben to mix (well, who know who actually mixed it - but Ruben
is the 'executive producer' of the project).

We'll see if the whole thing is still on schedule.!
