On "Van Halen Live: Right Here, Right Now", Sammy says before "Love Walks
In" that "this song is inspired by Ruth Montgomery -- it's about walking
_________." Anyone know what that last word is, and what is the connection
between the lyrics and the author? Another website just briefly mentioned
her book "Aliens Among Us".

Thanks.

I remember reading somewhere (sorry no reference) that Love Walks In is
about Sammy Hagar's own experience with.
"... there she stands in silk and gown/silver lights shining down". The
"silver lights" part is a reference to a space craft.

Maybe that is the connection with Ruth Montgomery, perhaps Sammy met her and
maybe they shared a similar experience?

I think I found the connection. One of Ruth's books is called "Stangers
Among Us", the editorial note from Amazon.com states:

"My mother turned me on to Ruth Montgomery's books while I was a teenager.
In each successive book, she takes on another, seemingly more esoteric
paranormal subject. We've all heard about reincarnation, but I had never
heard of Walk-Ins until I read Strangers Among Us. I got goosebumps when I
first read about these enlightened beings who are allowed to take over the
body of a person who desires to depart their life. The Walk-In bypasses the
childhood and growing up years, by entering an adult body (with permission
of course) and rapidly begins to help others help themselves. Montgomery
claims that renowned leaders such as Ghandi, Lincoln and Benjamin Franklin
were Walk-Ins, as are tens of thousands of nonfamous people working quietly
to lead us into a New Age."

Sammy Hagar most likely believes he is what Ruth calls a "Walk In" and that
most likely inspired his lyrics for that song.

Mystery solved.
