Bon Jovi's got an autobiography coming out next month.
I doubt I'll pick it up (I'm not really a fan).
If I see it somewhere cheap enough, I might add it to my collection.
I picked up Meatloaf's for only $4 (brand new).
Any other good rock autobiographies out there?
Here's some of what I have (not a complete list).
Some I picked up because of interest, others because they were cheap.
Walk This Way - Aerosmith
Bill Bruford: The Autobiography
Cash - Johnny Cash
Clapton - Eric Clapton
Golf Monster - Alice Cooper
Kink - Dave Davies
X-Ray - Ray Davies
Ian Gillan - Ian Gillan

His first autobio, "Me, Alice" was pretty good. Impossible to find these
days unless you're willing to pay a bundle.

I've got a Word version of Bob Greene's book "Billion Dollar Baby", an
account of life on the road with the original Alice Cooper band. Want it?
That's an interesting read. A friend of mine used to have the
paperback.

Yeah, it's pretty insane. Often over $1,000.00.
I only paid $5.95 for Golf Monster (brand new, hardcover).

Sure.

>this was fucking great, if you like Neil.
>A LOT of interviews. He's a real character.
It's one of my favorites.
Excellent read. Probably the longest in my collection (700+ pages).
I picked it up shortly after it was released (from a local independent
bookstore).
I think I paid nearly $30.00 (hardcover). It was well worth it.
I couldn't put it down.
Most of my books only cost me $5.95 or $6.95 (sometimes less).
Brand new, mostly hardcover.
I haven't even read them all yet.
At those prices, I can't resist :)
They look great on the bookshelf and I'll get to them eventually.
> Sure.

...Adolescence - the time between puberty and adultery.
>My Boy - The Philip Lynott Story
Tough to track down.
Not as rare as "Me, Alice", but it goes for around $100.00.
>Another good one is Reputation Is A Fragile Thing
>by Mike Hayes. It's an out-of-print biography of
>Cheap Trick and worth seeking out a copy if
>you're a fan of the band.
This is one I'd be interested in.
However, it also goes for around $100.00.
I'm not that interested :)
Some of these prices are pretty outrageous.
Who would pay that much for a used paperback?
A fairly recent one at that.
>Me, Alice is really rare. The cheapest I've seen it for
>sale is around 400 dollars. The most, about 900 dollars.
There's one currently on Amazon for $1,700.00.
Unbelievable.

Try www.swaptree.com for books you're looking for. Great site to trade CDs,
DVDs, books and videogames. In fact, I used it to trade my Chickenfoot CD.

Thanks, I'll check it out.
I'm always looking for a new source.
Any details/timeline?
I hope he finishes it
That's cold.

Do you want polite or do you want sincere?
Well, if Gene is publishing it, I figure he was planning on having Eric
Singer finish it any ways!
I meant that in the nicest way really :(
My mother in law was diagnosed with primary renal cell carncinoma back
in 2004. They removed her kidney did scans and tests afterwards and
declared her cured. Several months later she started complaining of
upper back and shest pain. They did tests and scans and that and
diagnosed her with pancreatic cancer, heart cancer that was renal cell
based. They tried an experimental drug on her that seemed to keep the
cancer in check for a little while but she couldnt tolerate it it after
a few months and had to stop using it. It finally spread to her liver
and bones and she passed away in April..
All I was meaning was I truly hope they got all Petes cancer and that no
cells got away
LOL! Um, he's been saying that for over 20 years now. No joke.

"Thanks For The Mammories" - Peter Criss
I think he will do it. I hope he does
According to Peter he is hoping something positive happens with him
and KISS one last time so he can end the last chapter on a positive
note. If Peter never gets that one last Reunion show IMO the last
positive note will be about KISS being inducted into the RNRHOF.
Sorry to hear that. Cancer is a real bitch and it's a shame so much
money is wasted on AIDS research, a completely avoidable disease,
while most types of cancer is not.
thanks
its horrible to see what cancer does. It totally ravages a persons body.
It did hers
