#42 on the Billboard Top 200 this week.

22 weeks on the chart (including two consecutive weeks at #4).

Impressive.

LOL

Is that it?

A Kimmel TV appearance plus a FREE new song and FREE DVD and it sold
only 12k?

LOL

Thanks for that, Rusty.

Oh yeah, here's your TB quote -

>> It's a sad and desperate attempt to
>>quickly move unsold cds repacked with an additional disc. What's even more
>>funny, it's possible the dvd included in the deluxe package is the live show
>>they plan on releasing on it's own at some point in the future. Springsteen
>>did something similar a few years ago when he released his "Seeger Sessions"
>>band cd, then re-released it with a few more songs 6 months later - a move
>>that really pissed off fans.
>>
>>T.B.

Rusty fun fact - If someone said it, it's true!

>free DVD

Sonic Boom (KISS) was released as a 3-Disc set (which included a free
DVD).
It sells for only $12.00.
It's quickly dropping off the charts. Only 10K sold last week. So far
only around 180K sold.

The CD industry is in a death spiral.
Sales are down nearly 70% from just earlier in the decade.
It's common for CD's to be released with bonus tracks and bonus DVD's.

Calm down.

I just pointed out (as I always do) what you failed to disclose in
your Hagar propaganda.

You go out of your way to say KISS was a 3 disc set, but never
metioned the free CF DVD when they "soared" back up the charts.

I wish it was common for Van Halen. Those bastards won't even release
a bonus song on the remasters.

It would have been nice to have bonus material on the remasters. Real
nice, but it wasn't necessary.
People were still buying CD's in 2000 (the year the remasters were
released).
In fact, 2000 was the *peak* period of sales in the industry.
The top of the mountain. It's been downhill ever since. More like
falling off a cliff.
Since then, CD sales are down nearly 70%.

Other bands were releasing bonus songs throughout the 90's. It has
nothing to do with sales.

There was an interview posted here with AVH and he said the reason no
bonus songs were released is because there is nothing in the vaults
worth releasing - which we all know is a crock of shit. He also said
Roth needed Meds and would never be in VH again in the same interview.

Yes, and Digital sales are way up.

You've said this for like the 20th time now. The CD is being replaced,
just like the cassette, 8 track and LP before that. Time moves on like
it always has.

Latino and salsa music is down over 30% since 2000, Country music has
suffered only a 1% drop - it's genre specific. This also has been
pointed out to you before.

Bands like Warrant and Poison aren't guaranteed Platinum albums
anymore just because they are on a record label. Now people can easily
buy just one song instead of an album and it's hurting the industry's
profits.

Digital sales now account for half of the music sales.

...are you going to post this 70% disclaimer every time VH's new album
sales are mentioned in the future or are you just going to say they
bombed because it did less than 1984?

LOL
