I don't expect any further news or information until closer to the
Hall Of Fame event March 12.
I will re-state the facts as they stand though.
There are outlets reporting the tour is off for good, while an
"insider" or two are stating that it is still on. The truth lies
somewhere between. As posted here yesterday, the tour as it was set to
go, is off for now and promoter Live Nation have confirmed this.
However, there is extreme confidence that the tour will still go ahead
during 2007.
There is also speculation that a push to have Michael Anthony return
to the line-up is behind the new problem. That might be a point of
contention (I'm sure everyone would love to see Mike return), however
it is not the issue behind the current headlines. The line-up remains
the one publicized in recent weeks.

You'd be surprised how clueless some promoters are, even though they gamble
with millions of dollars to front major tours. Look at Axl's Guns n' Roses
cover band continued ability to book shows and tours despite all the drama
and bullshit they've been responsible for over the past 7 years.

I call bullshit (and not just because it's melodicrock.com).

Who's behind this "push" to get Mikey back? Not Ed or Al, and probably not
Dave.

I assume the push, if it exists, is coming from promoters who want to book
the original lineup of VH, and want to advertise as such.
