Jupiter makes a slide trumpet in the shape of a trombone, it will cost about
$200 . The Woodwind and The Brasswind and Giardinelli both carry them.

May I first apologise for the sacrilege of associating trombones with toys.

My son Jack, aged four and a half, has decided that Santa is bringing him
a toy trombone. The only problem is that this "Santa" doesn't know where to
get one. I have
spent hours going round the shops in Edinburgh and searching the 'net
without any joy.

I would be most grateful for any help or advise that anyone could give to
make his Christmas.

Toy trombones are very hard to find. I bought one about 7 years ago here in
the USA made by TOMY. It is electronic - you select the song and then play
it by moving the "slide" in and out. I have no idea if they even make them
anymore, but it was purchased from a store here called Toys R Us, which is a
rather large chain. If you can't find something like it, maybe see if you
can find a kazoo shaped like a trombone. Some of the music novelty shops
carry them. Good luck!

I bought a TOMY toy trombone about 10 years ago, I do not know if they
are still available. It was electronic: the tunes were selected by
button, and played by moving the slide up and down to move from one
note to the next. It was of good quality, but didn't sound like a
trombone!

Try www.ebay.com and use the search word, "trombone." There may be a toy
trombone there for sale.
