I don't see any harm in posting this because toolband and such already
gave out the funeral home info, otherwise I'd not have posted it.

Also a friend mentioned to me that the brain aneurysm happened 27 yrs
ago...when Maynard was 11.. discuss.

No offense to the dead, but why do you care? Why does APC.com and
toolband.com only have a picture
of someone's mom on the site and nothing else? I mean, sure the singer of
Tool may be of some interest (although he is given much
more than he really deserves), but his mother? RIP. Ok, move on. This is
really a private issue if you ask me.
When my mom dies, I think I'm gonna hack in to cnn.com and post her pic..

yeha but there differnce is that they own the site and secondly its a sign
of respect to mourn someone who has passed on (regardless of if ure bliefs
say they live on, they ascend or they are worm food)

jesus let me man show some rspect for passed family members, i think its
everyone right to, and by showiung it so publivcally (the two websites), it
reduces the amount of prying eye's which might otherwise occur knowing alot
of tool communities

It's also of interest because it gives us insight into the meaning of
2 of his song lyrics... Jimmy and Judith. The lyrics make a whole
lot more sense now that we know she had a brain aneurysm that left her
crippled 27 yrs ago, when he was 11.

From Jimmy:

" What was it like to see the face of your own stability suddenly look
away leaving you with the dead and hopeless? Eleven and she was gone.
Eleven is when we waved good-bye."

From Judith:

"fuck your god, your lord, your christ, he did this took all you had
and left you this way, still you pray never stray "

"praise the one who left you broken down and paralyzed
he did it all for you "

Nice input DVN. Those are interesting lyrics. Although I don't think a
knowledgeable Christian would blame Christ for leaving them "broken down and
paralyzed". Most would likely subscribe to the "God did this for a reason"
theory.. Just my 2 cents.

Is Maynard a Christian though?
Even if Judith doesn't blame Christ, her loved ones might.

And in a way also Parabol/Parabola. It kinda makes it look like MJK
knew she was on her way out soon, and really started thinking about
mortality. At least that's what I usually think about when I listen to
it. It's really a comforting tune to listen to when someone you know
is about to die. My grandmother is fighting off breast cancer, and
that song always makes me feel a bit better about it.

"Recognize this as a holy gift and celebrate this
chance to be alive and breathing.

This body holding me reminds me of my own mortality.
Embrace this moment. Remember. we are eternal.
all this pain is an illusion."

I dunno, I may just be stoned too.

I think that's exactly what that part of the lyrics refers to.

Yeah, that show fuckin' ROCKED. I got Keiths autograph. It's not "The
Mans" but it's still cool. I think Henry gets bigger every time I see
him.
